You may remember me talking about the Adidas x Parley Collaboration here, well they have just released a new Colourway collection which I wanted to share the details of with you. They have released this edition in their legendary UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X and UltraBOOST Uncaged trainers. The new trainer is a metaphorical white flag to the oceans and a wake-up call to the world about the threat of coral bleaching.
Adidas and Parley are releasing this to time with World Oceans day and are purposely using their iconic performance-led designs remodelled using Parley Ocean Plastic™. While the Original collection was inspired by the beautiful blue colour of the Oceans, this new collection is focusing on raising awareness of the coral bleaching crisis threatening the oceans. Each pair reuses an average of 11 plastic bottles per pair in the upper which is pretty amazing. The entire shoe makes a beautiful fashion statement as well as a powerful environmental one.
For my US readers, it will be available from today June 08th in stores and online here, I am not sure about over here in Ireland. But if you can get your mitts on these they are stunning and carry a powerful message especially with some of the political issues that are on-going.
