One of our favourite things for my boyfriend and I to do at weekends is to try new places to brunch or lunch. We love exploring new places and when I heard about a new Instagram worthy cafe in Galway that served great food I knew we just had to go!

Caprice Cafe is the creation of Vicky and John Casey and you can feel the love and attention to detail that went into all aspects from the colour scheme to the furniture all the way through to the light fittings. The whole cafe is light, airy and just feels very relaxed. I love going into a cafe that doesn’t feel cluttered and just feels very open and Caprice certainly ticks those boxes.

The menu gave us loads of options and the vegetarians options were quite delicious sounding. I love when we go in somewhere and I have many options. I have been known to be fussy selective with my food choices and all the food in Caprice was yum. My boyfriend went for the steak and cheese burger and I went for the falafel and cheese wrap. Mine came with a lovely side salad and the wrap itself was full to the brim and simply delicious.

We somehow managed to resist the treats cart – but I don’t know if we will be as strong the next time! They had a yummy selection of brownies, cakes and tarts and it is right inside the door so I know we were thinking about it all the time through lunch 🙂 All of the goodies look handmade and smell just delicious.

So if you are looking for somewhere fun to go for brunch over the weekend then I would highly recommend that you pop into Caprice Cafe and have some yummy food. You can find it on the corner of Church Lane and Market Street. You can follow the Caprice Cafe via their website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

  1. Very disappointed by the service in there 2day I had a sandwich on gluten free bread service was very slow had to ask 3times for my mocca. There was a group of 4 . We asked 4 times for order to be taken for dessert but to no avail so my daughter paid the bill and complained about the service. We left very disappointed

    • Ah no Mary that is so disappointing. I have been there 2-3 times now and luckily we have not had any issues with the service. I hope it was just a bad day as normally we have found them quite good and find it such a nice space to relax and chat in xx
