So in tune with my last post on a Different Type of New Years Resolution I have decided to share my monthly bucket lists on my blog. I do this each month – a quick list of small things that I would like to achieve that month. It is not a listing containing things like lose 2 stone or walk 20k etc. but day to day things like cook a new recipe or note down whatever else new that I want to do that month. It makes me accountable so that the month does not just fly on by and before I know it it’s the 1st of the following month. So here is my January Bucket List!
The ‘new’ thing that I will be trying in February is to cook with my new slow cooker. I recently brought a crock pot and am very excited to try making veggie stews and curries. I love the thought of the food getting all flavorsome and tender when cooked for hours. I’ll let you all know how I get on!
When writing up the following month’s bucket list, I also intend to reflect on how I got on in the previous month, hopefully the accountability will help me stay focused each month and since many of these things are actually quite fun I am looking forward to them.
Awesome! New to this blog and liking it already. keep up the great work.
I have a personal development blog called stephenosoko.com.
Check it out 🙂
Hi, thanks so much for stopping by 🙂 Love your blog- so inspirational and just at the right time of the year as well!
Love this idea…I read the other day that weekly or monthly goals are a great idea for keeping motivated and actually achieving them, rather than big grand goals. I might start doing this too 🙂 x

Thanks Ally, I have found myself that when I try and make MASSIVE life changes at the start of the year – I tend to fall over a few weeks in so about a year ago I started a monthly bucket list and it works much better. And I always have some fun things in there as well to keep it light 🙂 I love your blog btw – and I need that silver retro telephone!!
This is a seriously good idea, because it’s short tern goals it actually gets shit done LOVE it!
Exactly! 🙂 Plus it’s much less over-whelming so not as daunting – you should try it! It’s the perfect month to start – plus 10 things a month means 120 things done in the year – quite the achievement 🙂
[…] 3 liters a day (depending on where you read it) but it’s not always easy. As part of my January Bucket list I decided to stop drinking fizzy drinks. In my opinion they were adding un-needed sugar to my day […]
