Last week I popped along to the Ella West hair skin and beauty salon opening in Galway and I although I already knew it had a stunning aesthetic (as had already peeped in!) I did not expect to be so bowled over by the wonderful staff, who really welcomed everyone in with open arms.
Ionela is the proud owner of Ella West and I don’t think I have met a more passionate business woman in quite a while. They stock some amazing brands like the much loved Environ skincare, Dermalogica, Advanced Nutrition Programme, Keune Hair Cosmetics and interestingly Jane Iredale makeup – I say interestingly as this is one brand I have heard great things about but never actually tried. BUT was lucky enough on the night to win a Jane Iredale Make Up starter kit! Totally delighted and excited to try out the brand 🙂
The salon itself is stunning – the hexagonal light fittings and mirrors are just stunning against the deep navy walls. Literally the salon aesthetic of my dreams 🙂 The entire salon feels bright and airy due to the wall to wall windows and I love the feeling that it gives to the premises.
They also were showcasing the beautiful millinery creations of Caithriona King Designs – she is one of my favourite Galway Milliners so was delighted to see her work up close. The detail is just beautiful in her work. There was also music by DJ Brendan Flynn and delicious nibbles from CookHouse, Galway – all in all a fab event.
When Ionela was about to cut the ribbon for the official opening she said something that has stuck with me since – she didn’t want to change the world, but perhaps to change the view of one person to feel a little more beautiful. That when someone leaves her salon that they feel that little bit better about themselves. I think this struck a chord with many of us.
And a wee shout out has to go to the other bloggers that I popped along with – Ruth from Fashion Truth by Ruth, Shona from Sho Style, Kieran from the Galway Player and Ciara from Ciara S Walsh. Go check them out to discover some more Galway Bloggers 🙂
I would highly recommend popping into Ella West and they are located in 8 Middle Street – right in the heart of Galway. You can learn more about them on their website and follow along on their Facebook Page.
Chances of me ever popping into this fab salon is a bit of a stretch with me being in Dublin and having my hair but it looks sooo good and aesthetics are beautiful. How can customers not have a better view of yourself after leaving here?
