Blog Beauty Awards TanOrganic EventI recently attended the 2015 Irish beauty Blog Awards in Lillie’s Bordellos on Grafton Street in Dublin and the night was just so much fun! Firstly, let me start by saying that Lillie’s was just amazing – it is more of a burlesque themed lounge than a regular pub and the surroundings are just plush.

When I arrived I met some fabulous bloggers; Bekaah from The Cliques Blog (who was also nominated for the Best New Blogger Award!), Clare from The Beauty Chest and Weronica from The Ronnie Diaries. The girls were just amazing and any nerves disappeared after we were chatting for a while.

We were greeted by a champagne reception and a yummy white chocolate fountain – delish. There were marshmallows, strawberries but to name a few that you could dip in! There were also cupcakes that were provided by Jen’s Couture’s cakes which were such a beautiful touch on all of the tables. Tan Organic Chocolate Fountain

They were also in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland which is such an amazing cause. They did speak about the disease and “Breast Cancer Irelands aims to transform Breast Cancer from often being a fatal disease (650 deaths annually) to a treatable illness that can be maintained long-term through treatment” (via).  There are ways to help them – including Texting your support and they also have an app!

It was really inspirational being in a room with so many bloggers that I look up to and whose blogs I love to catch up on daily! I certainly left feeling much more motivated then when I went in.

Pippa O’Connor really was the stand out winner of the night – she picked up 3 of the 9 awards; Best Fashion Blogger, Best Beauty Blogger and the top one – Best Overall Blog. Pippa has recently launched her new website Pippa.com and I found it so interesting that she said on more than one occasion that it is not a one woman show and that she has help. This is actually very similar to what Victoria Beckham has said – that it is a team effort.

Sue from So Sue Me walked away with the Best Content Award and also best dressed. That girl is stunning in person and her legs go on for miles!!

The other winners of the night were as follows (a full list of the nominees can be found here):

As well as the awards themselves there were also some stands that you could take a look (and make a sneaky purchase from!). Two of my favourites were the Kinvara Skincare and Elizabeth Arden stands. Joanne and Karina from Kinvara Skincare were hilarious and I cannot wait to try out their cleansing oils. I also got talking to the stunning Bernadette from Elizabeth Arden who did a skin analysis on my skin. Apparently my skin is quite good for my age but I need to exfoliate more! The beauties Sinead and Saibh from ITWBN were also there representing their amazing networking network.

It was such a fun night though I did have to rush back to Galway that night so unfortunately had to cut the night short. However, one plus was that I got to delve into the goodie bag!

The goodie bags were amazing – especially the 4 Waterproof Gosh Mascaras!!
2 Isa Dora GlamGlow
IsaDora and Glam Glow are two brands I love so was delighted to see these in the goodie bags!

It really was such a great night and in aid of such a wonderful cause. There are a few more posts en route about other events that I have been to recently and I hope that you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing about them xx
