House of Hackney & Other Stories

When I first heard about the collaboration between House of Hackney & Other Stories I was surprised! And had to see the collection to believe it! And it works, it really does. The collection has twelve horoscope looks celebrating the beauty of nature’s prints mixed with a dose of British psychedelia. View Post

Stella Simone for & Other Stories Recycling Initiative

& Other Stories has long been one of my top choices when it comes to high street retailers as the clothes are well made and I like the tailored feel of many of their pieces. The brand has featured on Floralesque many times – for example, their collaboration with Kim Gordon (amazing!) so it is actually quite surprising that I have not shared details of their recycling initiative on here before. Kim Gordon collaboration with & Other Stories

Many years ago everyone was wearing the slogan tee and it was the height of fashion, but then as many things do in fashion it fell from favour. Well, recently the graphic tee has been experiencing a Renaissance of a sort and when I saw the fab collaboration between graphic artist Kim Gordon and one of my favourite high street retailers & Other Stories I literally squealed!! It has the feel of a rebirth of the punk era and I am enamoured. View Post

Sneak Peek... & Other Stories is coming to Dublin

It is certainly one of the most talked about store launches in recent years and with good reason! & Other Stories are coming to Grafton Street, Dublin before the end of the year (we don’t have a date just yet!) and everyone I mention it to is so excited for it to open. Oh, and did I mentioned that it will be a 3-floor store! When I was at their Spring Summer 2017 preview (you can read about it here) – we also got a preview to the stock from their ‘Celebrate’ collections that will actually be in store when it opens. & Other Stories SS17 Preview

I attended the & Other Stories SS17 Preview recently and fell in love with the clothes that will be coming in for Spring Summer next year – think floral, fun and then also more of a tailored look. & Other Stories will be coming soon to Dublin (hopefully before the New Year) but I will be sharing more on that next week. Today is all about Spring Summer 2017. View Post

We also share upcoming events and share gift guides featuring Irish made items. Well, we are adding to how we share about Irish Design – we are going to start a new series called ‘Brand Focus’. We will be sharing the stories of Irish Brands and why we love them. Hopefully, it might introduce you to some amazing new brands. View Post

I am so delighted that we seem to be out of that snowy Winter spell and I can properly look at purchasing some Spring footwear. You may remember my earlier piece on block heels this Spring, well for normal in the office days I am loving loafers.  View Post

Retail - Bringing the outdoors in

Visual merchandising when done well can lure you into a store, entice you to stay longer and perhaps even give you a little-hidden push to the till. But on the other hand, if done badly, it can make you turn on your heel and head straight back out the door. View Post
