Alexa Chung Winter collaboration with M&S

Those who have read Floralesque for a while will know my love of British Style Icon Alexa Chung. I have mentioned her before on the blog here and here. Well this week I learned about her new collection coming out on November 01st with Marks & Spencers!

“For this second collection I wanted to focus on a more luxe evening wear vibe to lead us into the winter party season and was thrilled to once again to discover an abundance of inspiration within the Marks & Spencer archive”.

Originally I had thought that Alexa was only going to do one collection for M&S, but I am delighted to read about her other half of the Alexa Collection. The Winter Archive by Alexa Collection. When she released the first one – it was the vintage inspired Harry shirt that really stole my heart. This Winter collection will consist of 27 pieces and will complete the Archives By Alexa series.

She has given us a tease on her Instagram (above) and I am hoping that it is full of cozy pieces and perhaps some beautiful party style pieces as well. There was also a tease of a PVC jacket when she sat FROW at the House of Holland and J.W. Anderson LFW Shows.

The collection itself is described as ‘a modern interpretation of Archive pieces, fusing a rich heritage with contemporary style’ and all of the pieces in the Winter collection are named after streets in Leeds where Marks & Spencer was established in 1884.
