Brown Thomas are one of the best-known retailers in Ireland, and although I do love the luxury brands that they curate, what I really admire is their passion for Irish Design. Each Summer, they host a showcase called BT Create, which showcases the work of some amazing Irish Designers and also shines a light on emerging designers.
It is a great honour to be chosen to showcase your work at the event, as both the media service and exposure due to the footfall in-store means that it is a great stepping stone to really help launch a new brand.
As Brown Thomas Fashion Director Shelly Corkery says: “Gaining commercial experience is vital and we are proud to support homegrown talent with an invaluable retail platform while helping keep the Irish fashion industry moving forward.”
The designers that will be showcasing their work this year include: Sarah Murphy, Jill & Gill, Four threads, Amie Egan, Pearl Reddington, Michelle Kearns, Leonora Ferguson, Helena Malone, Blaithin Ennis, Ale Walsh, Wild Cocoon, Una Burke, Katie Larmour, Mookie & Boo by Suzie Beggan, Emer Roberts Designs, Debbie Millington, Éadach by Sara O’Neill, Mariad Whisker, Domino Whisker, Richard Quinn, Lainey Keogh, Fintan Mulholland, The Season Hats, Faye Dinsmore and One To Watch Alla Sinkevich.
Create 2018 will be taking place on Level 1, Brown Thomas Dublin for six weeks from Tuesday, 3rd July 2018, and if you can I would highly recommend that you pop in to take a look.
