I love when designers aren’t afraid to take risks and be bold with their design choices – and Joanne Hynes is certainly a great designer who lets her creative vision flow through all of her pieces. Through her collaboration with Irish retailer Dunnes Stores, she has made unique, beautifully Irish designed pieces available to the general public at affordable prices.
The first part of her current capsule collection with Dunnes Stores was stunning and we shared out top five favourites here, well today I wanted to share our top picks from the Decadent Dreams part two collection which launched online and in the Dunnes Stores Grafton St. store this week.
This part of the capsule collection is so unique and I love that she brought back the Black Tiger Lady pattern, a retrospective nod to the motif’s first runway appearance in 2012 during London Fashion Week and a truly unique piece that will stand the test of time.
Next up has to be this fun robot and rabbit sequin skirt. It will be perfect for the upcoming party season and will really stand out on a night out. This also has a reversible colour which means that you can style it to how you want. I have actually purchased this and plan on wearing it with a black top and blazer to rea[lly make it stand out.
The Joanne Hynes Surrealist Dress is beautifully artistic and the bright colours and pattern clashes make this a true showstopper and one that I think really shows the core of this collection.
This skirt is another one that I have bought. It’s quite sleek while on but with a very weighty fabric which makes it perfect for this time of the year. The midi-style skirt is certainly on trend at the moment, but this stands out with it contrast check panel and cute pink trim.
This was the final piece that I purchased from this launch and one that I was unsure of until it arrived at my door. It is her rainbow anorak and is quite long with dramatic side vents, and cute rainbow patterns adding the detail that it needs. It was just what I was looking for – a functional but stylish jacket that I can just throw on to run to the shops or wear out to keep me covered, a jacket that on its own adds an element of being put togeather.
And finally, the piece that so many will know and love….. the Decadent Dreams Collar. It is stunning. Each season Joanne designs a collar and it always sells out. It is delightfully structured with wonderful detailing. This piece will add such a dramatic element to any outfit, personally, I love this style with jeans and a white t-shirt or shirt – simple sophistication.
