The Irish Fashion Innovation Awards have opened their entries for 2018. As many long-time readers of Floralesuqe will know – I love these Awards. They support and promote note just established designers but also those emerging into the world of accessory design, jewellery design, fashion design as well as millinery. It is a fantastic platform to get your work seen by such a large audience.
Awards Founder Patricia McCrossan of Goldenegg Productions says of the 2018 Awards;
“This will be the 9th year at the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards and we are excited to create an exceptional, unrivalled, innovative fashion event for guests and designers alike. The 2018 ‘Fashion Oscars’ will be taking place in the beautiful surrounds of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway. I clearly love the hotel with having recently gone to Afternoon Tea and also have loved their Spa facilities. It is the perfect backdrop to one of Galway’s top fashion events of the year and I do think that it is worth entering whether you are already established or emerging as a designer.
The categories that the Awards cover are as follows:
- Student Designer of the Year
- Accessories Designer of the Year
- Jewellery Designer of the Year
- Millinery Designer of the Year
- Fashion Designer of the Year
- Innovation Awards Overall Winner
- Ones to Watch
The judging panel will select one overall winner from each category on the night of the event. The winner will be chosen by secret ballot and will be announced at the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards ceremony in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Galway on March 22nd 2018.
