Fashion Collaborations between big name brands and celebrities seem to be everyone at the moment and also over the last few months. To be honest some of them I have not been overly enthused about…. and they just seem to be about getting the celebrity to wear their clothes… but this one is different. Nike has collaborated with FKA Twigs and it is edgy, artistic and promotes such a positive body message as well.

FKA Twigs was the creative director of Nike’s Spring Launch and she did such an amazing job. For their Zonal Tights collection, she created some artistic and genuinely beautiful imagery entitled “Do You Believe In More?“. The tights themselves are innovative compression tights for running and the gym and they actually look pretty fab. The black and tumbled grey, in particular, are my favourite.
When talking about her collaboration she says, “I saw it as an opportunity to inspire people who want to use their bodies in a positive way. I cast a group of amazing people who take their physicality seriously and have their own sense of style, in order to push people to be healthy and understand that, through any genre of sport, they can be the best versions of themselves.”

My reason for wanting to share on here today is because I think that it can be such a great example to other brands as to how a proper collaboration can be done. To let the artist have the creative freedom that they desire. And when they do – an excellent campaign can be created that both brand and artist will be proud of.
