As you may remember I interviewed Hazel Greene a number of months ago and I am still such a fan of her beautiful work. You can read the interview here. Being the admirer that I am of her work, when I seen that she had a new collection I just had to contact her and to share it with you all.
Here is what Hazel has to say about her new collection;
“…my print designs are my paintings re-imagined. The ‘Girls Day Out’ is of my painting of women in the sauna having a great laugh and I painted on silk a strong and happy colour for the background.
‘Ladies on Lime’ and ‘Petticoat’ are my re-imaginings of two paintings ‘1920s’ and ‘Petticoat’. ‘Petticoat’ used the fabric of the dress for its background, whereas I painted a lively lime on silk for ‘Ladies on Lime’, they look like cocktail ladies to me!”
