It is rare that I share details of a product before I have tried it however having tried and LOVED the pure hyaluronic serum and the Superstar Retinol Night oil by Pestle & Mortar I couldn’t not share when I heard about the new Pestle & Mortar product!! They are bringing out a double cleansing system and to be honest I know I will be buying it when it gets released in November.
So here is what we know…. The new Double Cleanse system is made up of 3 items;
- The Cleanse Erase – A make up removing balm
- Renew – a lightweight gel cleanser
- A facial cloth
Personally I always double cleanse when I am wearing make up. I always think of it as my first clean gets rid of the make up from my face but then the second clean actually cleans my skin. If I only take off my make up and don’t do the second cleanse I wake up feeling like my skin hasn’t had a great night’s sleep. And I like that Sonia has thought of bringing out a double cleansing system.
You may remember that I interviewed Sonia Deasy founder of Pestle & Mortar earlier in the year (you can read the interview here), well from talking to her during that interview I really got a feel for how passionately she feels for producing quality products and I trust in the products that she has brings out. It is her drive for perfection and passion for her company that makes me believe in this new product. And that is one of the reasons why I am sharing it today.
The Cleanse Erase – A make up removing balm
This sounds really delicious – it is formulated with Grape Seed Oil and Pumpkin Seed Oil that packs in vitamin E, Zinc, Omega 3 & 6, Fatty Acids and Antioxidants. The grape seed oil is non greasy whereas the pumpkin seed oil helps the skin retain moisture. Then there is also another awesome oil – Prickly Pear Seed Oil! This one contains linoleic acid a fatty acid that promotes cell turnover and renewal. It just sounds like it would be great for your skin – and would be non-stripping on my skin.
The other thing is that the product is free from all the nasties like parabens, mineral oil, silicones and sulphates! I like the sound of all the ingredients that are in the product (and also not in the product!) and think it sounds like a great first step in my evening routine.
Renew – a lightweight gel cleanser
This is the second product that is involved in this process. It says that it will leave your skin bright,hydrated and glowing. Again there are some delicious ingredients noted in this product as well. There are Papaya and mango fruit enzymes and also Meadowfoam seed oil. I like all the oils that are mentioned and love using an oil when my skin is feeling dehydrated. So I can only imagine that these two products will help hydrate and not dehydrate my skin.
Again this one is free from parabens, mineral oil, silicones and sulphates which is a good thing. There is also a Cleansing Cloth that comes with the system and this is 100% cotton and says that it will help maximize the benefits of your cleansers to leave skin feeling clean and rejuvenated.
I am really looking forward to buying this when it comes out and hopefully it will be a treat for my skin 🙂

I’ve heard so many great things about Pestle & Mortar and this sounds very luxurious and fab!
Hi Danielle, I absolutely adore their facial serum. It’s one of the few products that I actually see a difference in my skin after using. The serum is called Pure Hyaluronic Serum. It is so rare I will promote or talk about a product before it’s launch like this – but I genuinely admire the brand that Sonia has built and her passion for quality products! 🙂 x
