When we have dinner at home and especially for a special evening we will always have one if not more candles burning. I love the atmosphere that they create and the beautiful scents that can fill your home.
One of my favourite brands that I have been turning to the past few month is Field Apothecary. I find their candles burn evenly and last what feels like ages. There is generally one burning in either the bedroom or the dining room depending on the day and my two favourites would be Hay and Lichen scents.
They also hold their scent. That may be something that you would expect, but in my experience, it is not always the case. Sometimes when I see a candle I love, I will buy a second one to have. And by the time I burn the first one, make a change to another candle (to change things up ’cause I am crazy like that!) and go back to burn my second one the scent has muted. Well, not with these candles and I love that.
And if you are hunting for a last minute gift for that special someone, then you can find Field Apothecary candles in so many places – from Arnotts in Dublin to Cait & I in Sligo to the Old Mill Store in Cork! They retail for in around the €35 mark but they do last approx. 40 hours which ain’t too bad!
