The Weekly Edit Series – I have wanted to share with you things that catch my attention on certain weeks and also do a catch up style post of the week as well – Images from my phone, links I love, things that have popped up on my radar etc. – in a way a weekly edit of my life. I hope that you enjoy these random mix-ups from my weeks as much as I enjoy pulling them togeather xx
Number One // John Lewis Christmas Advert
First up – the new John Lewis Christmas Advertisement for 2015… well I really did have to start with this didn’t I 🙂 It’s magical and tugs at the heart strings as expected. What I liked about the ad was that it highlights an important issue – that the elderly shouldn’t be forgotten about. Often we get so busy in our day to day lives that we forget to think about those who may be lonely or house bound.
Number Two // Sligo Design Week
It has been all go this week – I have been spending my time between Sligo and Galway all week and there have been many hours spent on buses!! But it has been worth it – Sligo have put on an amazing line up for the first Sligo Design Week and I was very impressed with how well organised it was. They had everything from lino printing, to refashioning, to flower crown making, to interviews with designers, to art exhibitions to talks about entrepreneurship and social media. Below are some pictures of the highlights of my week – more blog posts to follow on the week to really try and bring you along with me.
Number Three // Strandhill
Standhill is where my heart lives. Although I have lived in Galway for many years – Strandhill is where my home is. From the friendly locals to the buzzing bars to the love of walking the dunes and then running in fear down them – it has all that I need. There is Shells Cafe where you can get amazingly fresh foods to The Strand Bar where you can enjoy a relaxed pint or a fun night with a live band to Voya where you can enjoy a relaxing seaweed bath. Expect a post coming soon all about Strandhill!
