Autumn is my favourite time of the year, I know that everyone loves the sun, but I love wrapping up in layers when it is bright and crisp outside. And when the Autumn Winter press days start to come around, I start to get excited about the next season! And River Island has not disappointed for AW18.
First up, has to be the top above. It is quite simple as in an off-white with two stripes, but the placement of the stripes I think is quite flattering. The oversized sleeves and the larger than life collar and cuffs are stunning and make the piece look much more than the high street.
This teddy style jacket looks so fluffy. Although I am not sure if I could pull off the colour, it certainly is adorable. The large collars are fantastic and make it seem not quite so overwhelming. And one that I think will sell out quickly when it comes into stock.
This jumper is everything. The large chunky knit will be so cosy when the temperature starts to drop (note in Ireland, that could be next week!) and the colours are bang on trend. I also think that adding the brown shade into the mix makes it more modern and much less like a pastel sweet which is a good thing. On a side note, snakeskin knee highs anyone??
And lastly, numbers four and five! This dress and this jacket are just beautiful. The dress has a beautiful print and I think that the neck detail and the waist add such a feminine touch that this would look great day and night. And that that jacket! Just imagine the warmth!! 🙂 I adore the teddy style, the colour and the length and this is one piece that I will be rushing to try on.
