With Father’s Day right around the corner, we wanted to share our Top Pick’s for Irish Made or Designed pieces this year. There are some wonderful gifts out there and sometime’s it can be slightly hard to choose what to get him!
Mishnóc Leather Wallet
If you are looking for something beautifully crafted wallet as a present, then look no further than Mishnóc. They source leather products from around the world and also manufacture our own range under the Mishnóc brand here in Co-Galway and their wallets are great looking. You can read more about this option here.
Handmade Fiáin Bow Tie
For those stylish fathers, why not a simply show-stopping Handmade Fiáin Bow Tie. What I love about these, is that they are an Irish twist on such a wardrobe classic. These wooden bow ties can be dressed up with a well tailored suit/blazer, or dressed down with jeans and a denim shirt. Either way, they look fantastic & are a great addition to your dad’s wardrobe. And even better is that they are sustainably harvested Irish oak paired with luxurious Donegal tweed. You can read more about this option here.
Irish Socksciety Socks
Yes, it may be cliché to buy your father a pair of socks, but these are not your normal socks! Their socks are quirky, fun and most importantly different. They will certainly bring a smile to his face, and if he normally wears suits – these look just hilarious peeping out above his shoes! You can read more about this option here.
Painted Clans Family Crest
When we were growing up I remember that my grandparents (on both sides), had their family crest framed on the wall. We used to always love looking at it as kids and it clearly meant a lot to my grandparents. If you don’t already have one in your home, then I think that this would make the most wonderful personal gift. It is something that he will have forever and I no doubt will also cherish as well. I have one myself from Painted Clans and love it, it is beautifully finished and I always get the most wonderful comments on it. You can read more about this option here.
Personalised Irish Times Paper
Next up is something that I purchased for my own dad, and he loved it. The Irish Times Newspaper has a great gift option of being able to get a copy of the front page of the paper, either framed or unframed. They are available from the first publication in 1859 right up to now. It would make such a wonderful gift if you gave them the paper perhaps dated their Birthday or a Special Date in their lives. I went for the framed option and it looked amazing. You can read more about this option here.
