Musical Event – Galway Guitar Night

  • Location -Seven – The Loft, 5-7 Bridge Street, Galway
  • Time: 21:00–23:59
  • Details: Rick Harris feat John O’Dywer : Rick Harris is one of Ireland’s finest jazz guitarists, originally from Allenwood in New Jersey, he has been living in Galway for the past 15 years and has been blazing a guitar trail of Jazz, Rock, Country and Blues up and the down the country to the delight of the many fortunate people that have heard him. Anto Drennan and Donal Kirk: It seems superfluous to introduce Anto on a guitarist page as he probably one of the best-known players in the country! Primarily noted for his involvement with ‘Genesis’, ‘Mike and the Mechanics’ and ‘The Corrs’, he has also played with ‘Clannad’, ‘Paul Brady’, ‘Moving Hearts’, ‘Davy Spillane’ and a host of other well-known Irish bands and performers. Anto will be joined on-stage with another Irish legend, Mr Donal Kirk. Donal has been filling venues around the country for decades not just as a duo but also as his own solo act and his full band. It’s a real treat to have him perform here in Galway with Anto and we are thrilled they could take time from their busy schedules to do a spot for us … it’s going to be very special indeed! Ciaran O’Malley and Melia: We truly believe that Melia is going to be absolutely massive within the next couple of years and we look forward to boasting about how they played at our little guitar night in Galway … “No way I don’t believe you” they might say … but it doesn’t matter because they WILL be there, in all there songwriting guitaristic glory!!!
