As part of Galway Fashion Week, I was invited to a private breakfast in the Radisson Blu Hotel, with Galway Now Magazine and it was amazing. We were treated to delicious food, in beautiful surroundings as well as a private catwalk show. Since it was such a fun morning I have decided to cover it on its own and share the actual Galway Fashion Trail early next week.
When I arrived I was whisked up to the stunning RAW suite on the fourth floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway and was delighted to see some familiar blogger faces and a smiling Donna from Galway Now! The room was set out beautifully (and no sushi in sight!) as the Radisson know how to do so well and I was really looking forward to catching up with some people who I hadn’t seen in quite a while. Blogging can sometimes be a little lonely when you are just writing to your laptop – so getting to catch up with other bloggers who understand that is always good.
Blogger Breakfast
The food served was just scrumptious. No other words could describe it. When we sat down there was a yummy mango, passion fruit and ginger smoothie and cupcakes. There was also a wonderful selection of cold options such as strawberry & vanilla fool and a delicious greek yoghurt with Spring berry compote and Athenry granola (yum!).
I’ll be honest – there was not a word spoken as the buttermilk pancakes, stuffed Portabello mushrooms and poached egg with avocado and streaky bacon were brought out! The Radisson really treated us to a delicious meal and we felt thoroughly spoiled.
Shopping Penthouse Style
There were also some stands around the room that we could browse as well which was fun. Sheneil Shoes were there showcasing an array of stunning show options and they also supplied the shoes for the catwalk. Optique Opticians were there giving out some fab advice. And JewelBox.ie was also there – I love this brand and Denise the owner is just so great to talk to. I brought the most stunning little brooch that will add character to any black blazer on the morning.
Catwalk Show
The fashion show that we were treated to was fantastic. As we sat and ate breakfast we were treated to a private catwalk show – what more could you want; shoes, millinery masterpieces, fashion and cupcakes 🙂
We were also lucky to see some of the designers from the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards on the catwalk as well – work from Louise Porter and INNU. Both are amazing designers so loved having another opportunity to see their work.
The shoes were supplied by Sheneil Shoes, the clothes by Harper.ie and Aisling K MakeUp did all the beautiful makeup looks on the models. The beautiful Millinery creations were by Majella Lennon Dalton and Brid O Driscoll Millinery. I love both of their work so it was fantastic to see it up close and see the detail that they both create within their pieces.
Bradley Renault
At the end of the breakfast, we were treated to a chauffeur driven journey into town with Bradley Renault. The car was so comfortable and I think it really added a luxurious aspect to the start of the Galway Fashion Trail.
